Thanks. It didn’t come easy. Lots of practice. Lots of incomplete laps.

Whats your PSN? We can turn some laps or race if you’re cool with it. I’m a controller guy though.

Project Cars and likewise Driveclub have made me almost throw my PS4 controller a few times. I threw my favorite red PS3 controller out of the window of my theater room and into the woods behind my old house over this one in GT6:

how do you like this game, i found it hard to get into since the initial controls were kinda jacked out of the box and i had to hunt reddit for good settings...

I haven’t raced online in a while. Kinda burnt out. So I just got lap and do the career mode.
But hit me up anyway. PSN ID is “Forgetfui”. yes that’s an “I”, not an “L”. GTSport is coming and that will probably reignite my fire. Gotta get back to GT Academy.

I know. I feel your pain. I used to get a bent fingernail on my thumb from sum racing on a controller too much. Got a wheel and pedals ages ago.

Ya I almost bailed on it but when I did find the right settings it was worth it. Decent sim. Some glitches. Not completely flushed out as a game. Gonna go back to GT Sport, maybe iRacing when I get a new PC.

Same. I used to be in a racing league but I had to stop because life, and I haven’t race against anyone worthwhile in months - just hot laps. I’ll add you tomorrow. I can’t wait for GT Sport but still need to get dirt rally. Both games look fantastic

How do you control so much power and for so long?! And in a RWD car!? I assume you’re playing with no assists?
Crazy.

Im hoping to build a sim rig soon, but by the time i have the money, im betting there will be new technology out hahah. im just glad this generation of processors hasnt really gotten as crazy as the late 90s early 2000s when there was a new chip just about every year!

Having a wheel and pedals helps the most with high HP cars. But it’s still no picnic and im almost as good with a controller. Just knowing how much and when to use the go pedal/button/stick. Just gotta wait for the back to settle before going for it.
And I’ve been at this a while.

Assists are “real” so whatever the real car has is available, but I always turn off traction control. I think there is ABS.

That’s awesome. I had real issues managing power in that game. I found that too often you’d spin, and even correcting it early wasn’t enough to stop it. And you’d just wait for the car to stop rotating. I feel in real life, cars have more lock available than that. But I was on a controller.
